The Balor is a Level 20 creature, with Armor Class 45 and 480 hit points. A balor is a towering demonic general that wields flaming whips and vorpal swords to annihilate high-level threats.
Aura of Flame (aura, fire) 20 feet: A foe that starts its turn in the aura takes 3d6+10 fire damage, or 6d6+20 fire damage if the balor has grabbed or restrained it. A creature that hits a balor with an unarmed Strike takes 3d6+10 fire damage, and weapons that hit a balor take 3d6+10 fire damage. Attack of Opportunity: The balor can use Attack of Opportunity when a creature within their reach uses a concentrate action, in addition to its normal trigger; they disrupt actions on any hit. Death Throes (death, fire): When a balor dies, their body explodes in a 100-foot aura for 16d10 fire damage (DC 45 basic Reflex save). Creatures in the area apply only half fire resistance; fire immunity improves the save outcome by one degree instead of providing immunity. Bodies reduced to 0 HP are incinerated. Dimensional Dervish: A balor can cast 5th-level innate dimension door as a single action. Dispelling Strike: Triggered when the balor hits with a weapon Strike, casting innate dispel magic on the target. Infuse Weapons (divine, evocation): Weapons held by the balor become +3 major striking vorpal weapons of cold iron and silver. The balor can change evil damage to chaotic and can conjure a flaming whip with an Interact action. Lifedrinker (divine, healing, necromancy): Killing a living creature of at least 15th level heals the balor for 10d8+80 HP. Whip Reposition: When grabbing a creature with a whip Strike, the balor can move the creature to any space in the whip's reach or move themselves without ending the grab.
