Pathfinder Remaster. Stats use the Pathfinder Remaster rules from Pathfinder Monster Core 2.
The Kithangian is a Level 9 creature, with Armor Class 28 and 205 hit points. The kithangian is a shapeshifting fiend that takes the form of ordinary beasts to infiltrate and destroy natural environments.
Saving Throws: +1 status to all saves vs. magic Telepathy 100 feet (aura, magical, mental). A monster with telepathy can communicate mentally with any creatures within the listed radius, as long as they share a language. This doesn't give any special access to their thoughts, and communicates no more information than normal speech would. Constant Spells. A constant spell affects the monster without the monster needing to cast it, and its duration is unlimited. If a constant spell gets counteracted, the monster can reactivate it by spending the normal spellcasting actions the spell requires. All-Around Vision. This monster can see in all directions simultaneously and therefore can't be flanked. +1 Status to All Saves vs. Magic Animal Kindness Vulnerability. Kithangians find kindness to animals revolting. The first time each round that a kithangian sees someone heal or otherwise provide aid to a creature that has the animal trait, the kithangian takes 3d6 mental. Animal Killer. A kithangian's melee Strikes deal an additional 2d6 damage to animals. Change Shape (1 action) (concentrate, divine, polymorph). The kithangian can take on the appearance of any Medium or Large animal. This doesn't change its Speed or their attack and damage modif ers with its Strikes, but it might change the damage type its Strikes deal. The monster changes its shape indefinitely. It can use this action again to return to its natural shape or adopt a new shape. Unless otherwise noted, a monster cannot use Change Shape to appear as a specific individual. Using Change Shape counts as creating a disguise for the Impersonate use of Deception. The monster's transformation automatically defeats Perception DCs to determine whether the creature is a member of the ancestry or creature type into which it transformed, and it gains a +4 status bonus to its Deception DC to prevent others from seeing through its disguise. Change Shape abilities specify what shapes the monster can adopt. The monster doesn't gain any special abilities of the new shape, only its physical form. For example, in each shape, it replaces its normal Speeds and Strikes, and might potentially change its senses or size. Any changes are listed in its stat block. Kithangian Venom (poison). Saving Throw DC 25 Fortitude save. Maximum Duration 6 rounds. Stage 1 2d6 poison (2 rounds). Stage 2 2d6 poison and Sickened 1 (2 rounds). Stage 3 3d6 poison and Sickened 2 (2 rounds) Rasping Tongues (1 action) (attack). Frequency once per round. Requirements The kithangian has a creature Grabbed in one or both pincers. Effect Barbed tongues slither out of the faces in the kithangian's pincers. The tongues burrow into grabbed creatures and inject their minds with haunting psychic screams. Each grabbed creature takes 2d8 piercing plus 2d8 mental damage. A creature can try to resist the mental damage by attempting a DC 25 basic Will save. Grab (1 action). Requirements The monster's last action was a successful Strike that lists Grab in its damage entry, or the monster has a creature Grabbed or Restrained. Effect If used after a Strike, the monster attempts to Grapple the creature using the body part it attacked with. This attempt neither applies nor counts toward the creature's multiple attack penalty. The monster can instead use Grab and choose one creature it's grabbing or restraining with an appendage that has Grab to automatically extend that condition to the end of the monster's next turn.
