Use ZapGM Maps in Roll20 — Export Guide

Even if you keep playing in Roll20, you can prep your maps in ZapGM and bring them over. Step-by-step guide to exporting ZapGM battle maps and loading them into Roll20 with Dynamic Lighting support. Estimated time: 15 minutes.

Steps

  1. Download your map from ZapGM in Universal VTT format (.dd2vtt) and PNG
  2. Install the UniversalVTTImporter API script in Roll20
  3. Upload the PNG to Roll20 and import the wall/door data
  4. Align the grid and configure Dynamic Lighting

Requirements: Roll20 Pro or Plus subscription (for Dynamic Lighting), a modern browser, and a ZapGM map file.
